Здесь и смерть, и секс со всевозможными вариациями (некоторые из них до сих пор называют извращениями). Здесь и другие физиологические отправления (во всех прямых и переносных смыслах), которые человек предпочитает не афишировать.Такая специфическая роль off понятна: наиболее волнующие, интимные вещи связаны для нас с физическим исходом из организма чего-то.Выражения, где off стоит в конце, часто вульгарны (они разбросаны по всему словарю), а те, где off в начале, обычно приличные, во всяком случае, их первый, основной смысл:Off — бросить что-то.
